I am just wondering if people can help me with a question.

I need to get from Kuala Lumpur to Belgium on around August 16 and I would like to use my Qantas FF points. I also need to get back around 2-3 weeks later.

I am not adverse to buying a cheap ticket to BKK or SIN or HKG or somewhere else to get on a oneworld/Qantas Partner carrier.

I also don't mind getting to Paris or Frankfurt and getting a train to Belgium.

Can people please help as apart from a CX connection via HKG, I am
having trouble getting a return FF ticket. Also I don't mind a premium economy or Business class ticket for any longer trips.

Thanks in advance

I'm seeing availablity out on 16 Aug/ return 5 Sep SIN-FRA-SIN. Cost 84,000 QFF pts. I am not sure if you can combine JL/QF in one award, but if you can it is 102,500 pts (100,000 pts + phone booking fee) and you may be able to get JL flights to/from KL to connect with these flights (good connections both directions). You may want to decide if those 18,500 extra pts are worth it, may be better to buy a connecting fare to/from SIN.

What is wrong with the CX conneciton in HKG? That seems quite a reasonable routing for a Qantas FF award.

Other options may be CX to HKG and BA to London or CX to FRA/CDG/LHR. Or JL to NRT and either JL or BA to LHR.

There are only two OneWorld options out of KL, being CX to HKG or JL to SIN/NRT. From SIN you can get to LHR or FRA. From HKG you have a few more options.
