Hi Guys,
I was looking at interesting ways to get to the US through more non-direct means (aka MR ). I was looking at Asia as a starting point as it is far easier to get to, either with flights or points. KUL-LAX can we done for $4484 on 4 AA legs each qualify for long distance mileage bonus (All book into D). http://goo.gl/flights/qeGz
However, the one which stood out was routing via Australia KUL-SIN-MEL-LAX for $5200. You can do a good mix of QF flights and US flights so it works for both FF programs. http://goo.gl/flights/PQqc
I had no luck building a stopover in. Ideally, it would be booked so that you could stop in Oz for a few months and then resume to do the next trip, being it to Asia, Europe or US, or make that the first trip if stopover is on the first leg. Unfortunately, I am still learning how to read flight rules and routing to see what could be done with it.
If anyone would like develop it to a template people might be able to use, it would be appreciated.
