InsideFlyer, the U.S. magazine dedicated to miles deals, lists in its August edition the following Qantas deal:

Award: up to 30,000 bonus points
Expires: Ongoing
Restrictions: List and sell your property through L.J. Hooker and earn 20,000 bonus points. In addition, earn 10,000 bonus points for hiring L.J. Hooker to be your property management agent for residential property. For more information, visit http://www.ljhooker.com

I am unable to find any info on this offer directly from the company and online. Do you know of it? Would someone over there care to call them and ask about it? I am very reluctant to list the offer on my (U.S. based) website (below) without verification, and so would appreciate any info on and/or links for it.

Thanks.

When you sell a property, choose the agent based on their ability to sell at the highest price, their coverage in the suburb, the commission they charge and their service. Frequent flyer points should be the last thing on your mind.

Thanks

Thanks to all. In the U.S. we have a large number of real estate offers. Some are clearly charging a lot for the miles, but others (particularly LendingTree) are offering good rates and good brokers, even with the miles bonus. I believe I have a general warning about this on my website.

Like arun said, better consider the agent's ability and not get sucked in by the points factor. Remember the points are only worth a few hundred dollars at most where your house is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
