Flying to Orlando next month, Questioning which is better for ease of immigration and other headaches when arriving into the states, and also if theres any difference in flight comfort in Y, on either QF7 into Dallas or QF 107 into LAX?

Thanks

We flew into DFW last November from NRT on AA.We were through Immigration and customs wiothin minutes and our bags came out first-we had upgraded to F.I certainly now will try and use DFW to enter the USA.

I flew QF7 into DFW and onto MCO last august and was through immigration in about 10 minutes, even with aircraft arriving late. I'd definitely take dfw over lax.

If connecting to the East Coast definitely DFW, not just from a Customs/Immigration viewpoint but saves at least one flight if connecting from LAX.

I have flown into DFW on QF7 twice.

First time the flight was 30 minutes late:
  • Arrived at 2:20pm
  • Was at Non US Citizens Queue 2:27pm.
  • Exited to baggage hall at 3:20pm
  • Exited to Baggage Transfer 3:40pm.
The citizens queue was larger but seemed to move faster.

The second time the flight was on time:
  • Arrived at 1:50pm
  • Was at Non US Citizens Queue 2:00pm.
  • Exited to baggage hall at 2:25pm
  • Exited to Baggage Transfer 2:40pm.

In both cases AAgents were moving through the queue doing a kind of "Triage"; those looking like missing their connection (within ~45 minutes) were taken strait to the front; others with time not so pressing were given yellow AA transit folders for express customs but left in immigration.

I was envious of those with Global Entry as they would have been through the lot in less than ten minutes.

Going by this web site:

Airport Wait Times

... such waiting times are not unusual at that time of the day.

There a very good thread on FlyerTalk regarding this: DFW / Dallas Fort Worth Connection Times - Domestic & International (consolidated) - FlyerTalk Forums (Look for relevant Int->Dom posts).

Last August my wife and I did the exact same trip as you are going to do. Flying to Dallas was far more convenient and less of a hassle than going through LAX without a doubt.
