Hi everyone. I'm just looking for some advice as to whether to take this further now...
I flew EY AUH-SYD in PE on VA metal on 02 Aug 2012. As far as I can see, this is worth a fair chunk of SCs however I'm still yet to be credited with them. After waiting the initial 4 weeks, sending in my boarding pass, being told to wait another 2 weeks, following up again, and now being told to wait another 5 weeks (!)
I wouldn't mind so much except last weekend's flights finally bumped me up to Gold, with a review date of 19 Sept. My AUH-SYD flight should have pushed me well past Gold back on 2 Aug, except it's yet to be credited. Which means I will miss out on all my flying in the past 6 weeks being credited towards my maintaining Gold. Which I guess technically means my AUH-SYD flight won't count for anything at all? So, I asked VFF about whether my review date will be backdated to 2 Aug when the SCs are finally posted and they replied:
I feel a bit uneasy about leaving it for a whole year, where VFF could easily just deny me requalification if it's close. I'd rather have them credited now if it is at all possible - and from reading some older threads it seems it sometimes is. Do you think it's worth following this up with them and do I have a chance of getting my review date backdated? Also, is it reasonable to wait another 5 weeks for the AUH-SYD points?!
Thanks for any suggestions!

Unfortunately we are not able to back date your upgrade to an earlier date (2/08/2012) or alter the date on which Status Credits are credited to your account.
As you reach your review date next year, should you feel that the Status Credits would enable you to maintain your status, please feel free to contact us to request that these Status Credits are taken into consideration as part of your review.
