Hi,
I am flying SFO-LAX-MEL, the connection time is tight. Delta metal obviously from SFO, on a 737.
There aren't any comfort + available, I have waitlisted for an upgrade via VA platinum. Any chance you can exit via the rear and I could sit down the back for a quicker exit?
Thanks,
D.

No rear exit.

How long is your connection? Same ticket?

We've got SYD-LAX-SLC-ORD with the same issue. I changed our LAX-SLC-ORD booking to First, so we could avoid the anxiety. I think it cost around US544 pp but I consider it money well spent, given the slightly better conditions we'll have for another 5-6 hours in the air (after the 14 hours flight from Sydney).

It may not be your most economical option, but at least it's an option :D

I have a little over 90 minutes and it is the one ticket. I guess immigration isn't such an issue on the way out of the US so I should be ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Which flight is this from SFO? What time does it land?
I just did this on my last trip. It was a pretty simple process from Delta terminal to TBIT and was able to stay airside, so ended up with some time in the lounge. This will probably go easier than you think, provided your flight isn't delayed.

Boarding would normally start 45 minutes before scheduled departure.

DL will land at T2 or T3, follow the signs for the airside bus to TBIT for your VA flight. (This presumes you have your VA Boarding Pass.)

As long as your flight into LAX isn't delayed you shouldn't have a problem. As others have said you can stay airside so you don't need to go back through customs or collect & re-check your bags

Thanks I land at 7.22pm from SFO and then onto VA24 at 9pm so hopefully ok without delays.

Yes I land at T2, can Delta check my bags in all the way? If so I am probably fairly safe.

Yes they will. Or, they did when I did this exact trip at the end of February so I can't see much difference. And I was flying on different itineraries.
