Hi all,

I will be arriving in LAX on an international flight at 6am.
My next flight is a Delta-ticketed, but Alaska-operated flight to PDX at 12.20pm the same day.
Is it worth paying the $50 Delta Sky Club access? A shower would be nice, but at $50, it's an expensive shower although wi-fi and snacks sound tempting.
Am I right in believing that I can walk from T5 through to T6 to catch my Alsaka Airlines flight without having to go back through security?
On the way home, I have an even longer layover, but was thinking of doing a tour to Hollywood etc with LA City tour. It seems like an OK way to spend the day before an 8.50pm flight back to Melbourne. Anyone done one of these tours that pick you up from LAX?
Thanks for any info.

You can usually pickup Sky Club day passes on eBay for around 1/2 that. With a 5+ hour layover, I would even pay the $50. We were there a month ago - the snacks are really good by US standards (porridge, bagels, fruit etc), the showers are great, the wifi is good & the seating is good.

Another possibility for the long layover is to hire a car and drive yourself. Make sure a GPS is included!
