The OW lounge in TBIT hasn't changed much in the 18 months since I was last in here. It's still an overcrowded hole where you only get a seat by asking "do you and your husband really need to take up 4 seats when there are obviously people wandering looking for somewhere to sit down?" and Internet access is woeful.

Anyhow, some quirk of fate made me pack my priority pass card for this trip, so if I was of a mind to give up my prized seat I could go down a floor to the skyteam lounge. Has anybody on here been down there? Now that I've had a shower, my main priority is having decent wireless access so that I can 'FaceTime' with SWMBO (that sounds so wrong) before I choof off to QF12 in 90 minutes or so.

The one reason to stay would be to laugh at the people doing online banking using IE6 on the lounge PCs and to see if there's going to be a punch-up the next time somebody moves a jacket off of a seat so that they have somewhere to sit.

Cheers

Steve

Why not just wonder down and check out the ST lounge? If you don't like it or think the OW lounge is better nothing stopping you from going back.

The only thing stopping me from going down there is the fact that I have a nice comfy seat now thanks to the aforementioned direct question.

I think you'll the Wi-Fi is not much better there.

Earlier this year a very nice Agent their tried to assist be connecting me to the "LAX-International-Lounge-Front" SSID (from the Lounge on the floor directly below), got connected but was still glacial for 2 or 3 minutes before carking it!

I must be lucky, never been in there and not got a seat straight up. (but I do head to the barstools)

That's enough for me to stay there. :p

I was in the LAX OW F lounge on Sat evening waiting for QF012 (after missing my connection to QF016 the night before due to cough weather in DFW) and it was just as crowded.

The wi-fi was down for a couple of hours as well which didn't improve peoples moods.... :(

Could always save it by draping a jacket...

I was in the TBIT OW F lounge last week, & the term glacial for the computer speed really is appropriate!!. And no wonder there were a few computers vacant. The first I tried had security problems, the 2nd was in frozen wastes. Am so pleased I left my stuff at a comfy chair. No glares, just amused (Steveda & Co?) looks as I bounced from computer to computer, then headed, defeated, back to my chair.... Then watched other people do this for the next hour as I enjoyed some nice bubbly & cheese & crackers.. It would be kinder to just tell people as they go to sit down.

The FL in Terminal 4 has better speed.

So is it worth the US$30/head for this Skyteam lounge?
