I am booked on what must be the most horrible red eye flight on earth...AA2406 a 2 hours 55 min flight leaving LAX at 1:20 AM and landing in DFW at 6:15 AM. I initially thought I would simply drink myself to death in the Flagship lounge in hope of collapsing on the floor, thereby missing the flight and enjoying some sleep! Unfortunately, I just realised that apparently both the AA lounges are closing at midnight. Has anyone taken this flight before? Do you really get kicked out of the lounge at midnight and have to spend around an hour at the gate? I see that the F cabin is full on my flight, so at least 16 people will enjoy a comfortable power nap!

I have taken a similar flight from lax at 1am when the lounge was still open, but that was a few years ago.

The LAX FL will stay open after midnight if there is a scheduled flight leaving at say 11.50pm which is delayed to say 1.00pm, this is often the case from LAX, otherwise, if there are no flight delays and your flight is at 1.00pm expect the lounge to be closed at midnight in my experience.

Actually the F lounge closes at midnight when QF16 is on time. I was kicked out of the F and J lounges at midnight while waiting for AA2406 (departure at 1:20 AM)

Good to get some experience in what avidly happens - seems the staff want to go home ...
