So I've realised I'm probably going to miss my Platinum renewal SC target by 100 SC this year.

Was planning to fly SIA from MEL - KIX however due to time of flights had to choose Jetstar instead (for almost the same price!).

Not so worried due to the soft landing to gold and lack of any real benefit of Platinum v Gold, however my wife, who pools points and SC to me will be dropping from Silver to Red. If we'd started pooling the other way when I hit platinum she'd be hitting Gold, instead, the 600 SC that I've accrued since hitting Platinum will be lost - what a waste

What's even more frustrating is that I'll get the required SC in the month following the review.

Once you drop to Gold those 600 should count towards getting Platinum again as getting Platinum is based on 1000 status credits in the preceding 12 months.

Unfortunately most of those were acquired right after renewal so will expire about a month too early.

It's amazing how many, who for reason of the particular device they're reading the post with and don't realise in which thread the post resides, automatically reconcile status with QF rather than VA. Sort of indicates a subliminal perception that status = QF and LCC = VA..........just an assumption but it's amazing how many times posts like this do occur.

Found the feature. But, on my iPhone, the path flashes and disappears so quickly, that it's a challenge to get to the third step, so I can understand how the confusion arises if others have a similar experience. May be just a glitch at the moment, or just on that thread, even. Will give it a workout.
