Hi All,

4 Adults flying to Europe and the Middle east.

29/9 DRW-SIN (QF227 codeshared JQ flight ), SIN-LHR (QF31, originally on A380 but this has been changed to 744, thanks QF), LHR-AMM(RJ112). Overnight in Amman.
1/10 AMM-TLV(RJ). We stay in the Middle East for two weeks.

14/10 TLV-FCO(LY383). 6 days in Rome and then the homeward run:
18/10 FCO-LHR(BA557), LHR-SIN(QF10), (19/10) SIN-DRW(QF278 again on JQ metal)

Those flying: one WP, one PG (or will be by then currently QP), one QP PS and one NB.

Now the questions:
Given a mix of status do we just try for the F lounges and see how we go, going to J lounges etc if things don't work out?

Given that the flight into LHR arrives at 06:35 and the onwards flight leaves at 17:05, we will have 4 tired PAX. Will the lounges help us any? I can imagine going to a lounge and then falling asleep, which is probably not what the lounge wants. Or is there another option that gives somewhere to collapse for a few hours?

Also, any suggestions on lounges for the other segments? I understand in AMM there is only one lounge, and we won't necessarily get lounge access in TLV (El Al is not oneworld). In FCO, on the other hand what are our choices for lounges? And SIN lounges?

We have a very tight connection at LHR on the return, so I doubt we would get to a lounge.

On Seats: I have selected 40D-G on the 744s. Or should we try to get 2x3 seats blocking the middle seat. If so, how do we do that?

malwcal - in part answer only to your enquiry: presuming you are all flying Y or Y+ - as 1 of the party is WP, then you have access to the F lounges in both Sydney and LHR for the WP + 1 other. However as one other of the group will by then be PG - why not simply avail yourselves of the Business Class loung as two of you can then guest the other two in with you?

A number of the Heathrow hotels have prices for day-only occupancy of rooms, which given the length of time you will be in transit in LHR might be a solution. Sofitel has a hotel that is connected to T5.

You'll have to check about lounge access for OW flyers in each centre as per the 2nd post.

If you are staying at the DAN hotel you will get access to the airport lounge for free if its great than 4 nights at TLV.

Lounge access in TLV is for the Dan lounge which is very, very average. No food, no room and not even a powerpoint or two to charge my laptop. It did had WiFi and a good beverage situation, though...

If the check-in agent doesn't give you a card for it, just ask (as I had to, albeit with BA)...

L.
