Does LHR have Fast Track immigration for J passengers on CX? Do CX passengers in J get access to an Arrivals Lounge in LHR?

Is 2.5 hours enough for a transit in HKG? Return flight is LHR-HKG-CGK on CX. If not enough time, is it possible to change the booking online via CX website?

Can only answer the second question, 2.5 hours would be enough for a transit through HKG, and in J could probably squeeze in some lounge time easily.
If LHR-HKG-CGK in one itinerary, should not be a problem, they will look after you

In terms of transit time, please keep in mind that CX do offer transit times of less than 1 hour. So a transit time in excess of 2.5 times that should be ample.

HKG transit is fast and simple. 2.5 hours was plenty of time. On most CX flights they display on the In-Flight Entertainment screen details such as your arriving gate, departure gates for most connecting flights, and which transfer area to use for each of the connecting flights. In my experience, you should be in the departure lounge in 10-25 mins from walking off the aircraft, depending on the location of the arrival and departing gates (which for me determines which lounge to visit) and the number of people in the security screening queue at the transfer point. It has never taken me more than 5 mins to get through security screening during transit at HKG.

Hi Chucksta, there is a fast track for immigration on arriving at LHR T3. We were given passes ( flying in QF J) but didn't use them as the UK passport queue was shorter. There is also a fast track through security on departure, easily found by signposts.

Wow, five minutes to get through security. Three weeks ago the queue would have been 50metres long at least. And I had to walk the length of it to get to the end and then traipse that length of the queue. This was about 730am after a CX flight from BNE. Reminded me of SYD at a similar time. But how archaic is BNE international, no free wi-fi!

If one transfer station is busy, just go to another one ;). I can only offer my own experiences.

Thanks NM. Didn't realize a second transit area existed. Just followed the signs from what seemed a distant gate.
