Hi All,

I have a couple of MCT questions:

BA 853 PRG-LHR arriving Terminal 3 at 0935.
AA 101 LHR-JFK Departing Terminal 3 at 1045.

Two questions.
1) Chances of me making the flight.
2) Chances of my luggage making the flight.

The next one has been thrust upon me by schedule changes:

AA 1487 BOS-ORD arriving into ORD at 0850
AA 1021 ORD-LAS Departing ORD at 0930

I'm worried about my Luggage on this one, given the AA terminal at ORD I'm comfy that I will make it, but I'm worried about my bags.
These flights are not part of SC run, but part one a Y RTW, so I've got some luggage with me.
(On the AA.com website has this is a valid combo/flight for sale.)
Is there any techniques people can recommend when checking in to try and get the bags on that tight connection? I.e do priority tags help? urgent transfer tags? Sacrifice a goat? I'm only a QF SG so I doubt I even get priority tags/checkin?

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Does PRG-LHR arrive at T3?

I'm sure last year we had to the connection T5-T3 for PRG-xLHR-MEL ...

Does PRG-LHR arrive at T3?

I'm sure last year we had to the connection T5-T3 for PRG-xLHR-MEL ...

I was under the belief that only the JSA flights for BA utilised T3, of course, I may be wrong.

My LHR-BOS flight was from T5, my SIN-LHR was to T3 (and next week is departing T3). Also many other intra-Europe flights last year, all T5 also.

Also, the ORD connection, does that actually meet MCT? If it's all been booked on a single ticket/PNR you're going to be protected no matter what happens, but I would never leave less than 60 minutes personally at ORD (It can be a long walk depending which gates you arrive into and depart from; no travelators to be seen in the AA part).

Thanks guys, I've questioned the T3 arrival already, according to BA, with both a website check and a phone call they say its definitely T3. (but they are of course just saying what the computer tells them)

I just copied the above from a new enquiry on BA's website as well.

So a couple of scenario's for the first issue.
I'm being led up a garden path, and ill end up on a T5-T3 connection whereby an hour will most defiantly not be enough.
Or
T3-T3 is in fact correct, but will an hour and ten minutes be enough for my luggage to make it with me?

Now for the AA flights, everything is all on the one PNR, and the BOS-ORD-LAS flight has medium-ish buffer time at the end (6 hours) before starting a SC run.
The more I think about it, the more certain I am that 40 minutes will see that my luggage doesn't travel with me.
When I originally booked it, it was a 1.5 hour transit which I was more comfortable with.

I'll ring AA today and find out what the deal is.

More info to follow.

Ok, so resolution to both situations:

First the PRG-LHR-JFK-MCO
Rang AA in the US (using skype so you can call the toll free number without any charge) was put through to the RTW desk.
Quickly and effortlessly transferred to PRG-LHR-ORD-MCO with 3 hour connection in LHR. (so no matter what terminal ill have enough time) As I lost my good seat allocation, she even put me in a premium seat that I wouldn't have been able to access.
Also an extra 15 SC for this routing, yay! No charge to change ticket due to connection times not being good.

Second one, was even easier, was put on the flight 1 hour earlier from BOS-ORD so now have 1.4 hours in ORD for the connection to LAS.
again no charge to change flights due to connection times being no good.

Nice work AA. :D

T3 change for Prague & a few others occurred late last year when they moved MAD/BCN flights from T3 to T5.......spose those IB exec's wanted to get access to the CCR;)
