Just to refresh my memory please folks, that I am 116 credits short of lifetime gold, what credits do not count in my getting past the post?

All SCs should count for LTG. DSC definitely do. They don't count towards loyalty bonuses but they do for LTG.

So for your SYD-MEL or SYD-BNE flights just three return trips on DSC or six on standard SC would get you there.

If it weren't for the travel ban you could alternatively do it all on Oneworld partner airline flights e.g. AA, BA etc.
