Just wondering if you are LTS which I am not far off, then do you only require 400 SC points to earn gold and 300 to maintain or do qantas make you earn 700 to get it and 600 to keep as per normal?

You still need 700 to attain and 600 to retain after making LTS.

LTS is half way to the real goal LTG though bridging the gap between the two would take a lot of years of flying as a SG.

Similarly with LTG you still require 1400 SC to attain Platinum or 1200 to retain.

Lifetime status stops you from falling to lower status levels but it doesn't make it any easier to level up to/retain higher status levels.

IMO , it should make it easier to reach SG/WP on a yearly basis ( but still require an earned 7000 to make LTG etc ), I don't think the LTS perks really match the amount of flying needed to reach it.

And it is meaningless if you consistently attain and retain Gold each year. However as a safety net, it’s better than Nothing.
I’m still 3000 off LTG. But I do have a safety net of LTS in concert with my LTQP ,
All I need to do is keep WP each year, something which is looking increasingly unlikely .

LTS is definitely something I want to reach, but I am a lot more excited about the possibility of reaching LTG.

I presume as a LTS but with a higher status, they won't be sending you our a free lounge pass? It would be nice if they did though. Nice thing to gift to a friend etc.

Correct. You already get lounge access and for a wider range of flights with higher status. However once you fall back to LTS you'll get a lounge invite every year unless you are maintaining higher status.

You can get plenty of lounge invitations from credit cards to give to your friends.

That would be nice, so I will assume it's a no?

You only get the Silver benefits if your Status is currently Silver. LTS is just a safety net if you are currently holding higher status. If you have SG status you don’t get any PS specific perks.

P1 gets two FLounge invites a year.
