Is it possible to earn lifetime status credits when travelling with other Oneworld airlines, or are they limited to only QF ticketed flights?

Any status credits that you earn are counted towards your lifetime. This includes SC earn on other QF partner airlines.

As with the requirement for attaining P1 status, it'll be interesting to see if one day in the future there is greater differentiation in the benefits derived from lifetime points earned on QF metal vs those earned on other OW carriers. I assume behind the scenes QF track the breakdown of the total SCs between QF earned, other carrier earned, and bonus SCs given away.

I think you'll find F lounge eligible pax have generated a significant amount of revenue for Qantas, they've indirectly paid for the F lounge access through a lot of flying.

Re champagne complaints - the product provided at the F lounge has dropped significantly over the last 3-5 years, I'm not surprised people are complaining. If QF hadn't dropped the ball here I think the complaints would be unfounded.. but they have. 🤷‍♂️
