I have a reward booking SYD-HKG-JFK return in J with departure on 2 May.

I had waitlisted for F not long after my initial booking & that waitlist has now expired (as only a few days from departure).

CX confirmed some revenue seats available (wouldn’t say how many). How likely is it some of these seats might be available for redemption in the next few days & how can I maximize my chances of getting them?

Only HKG-JFK-HKG sectors offer F. Was told would need to top up whole itinerary for F points requirements if F came through. That’s even if only one rather than 2 F sectors come through. Based on past experience. what’s the likelihood of both being available before my first departure? Return departure is for May 10. Likely won’t risk the extra points for F redemption if can only do 1 of 4 sectors in F.

But of a ramble. Thanks in advance for your experience & knowledge.
