With Velocity, I can fly direct from Hobart to L.A. However, now I want to use my points to fly from Hobart to Dublin - but "it's all too much" for Velocity!

So, I can book separately from Hobart to Melbourne, then Melbourne to Dublin - but can I get Velocity to "link" the flights together ?

Hi tassietiger,

Welcome to AFF. :D

Logic says they should be able to link the bookings but asking Virgin is the only way to be sure.

Its also possible to do the one booking by calling, the IT systems of Virgin are still catching up, something other airlines also have issues with!

Actually, I wouldn't be so sure .. domestic / trans tasman redemptions are booked in what appears to be Navitaire, while international redemptions involving VA or another partner are booked in Amadeus. When I look at redemptions for HBA-LAX, the HBA-MEL/SYD flights are showing up as a VA codeshare (which is a bit odd) .. maybe the good folk at Velocity need to make that codeshare valid for redemptions connecting on to EY?

(or maybe they just need to get everything in the one res system..)
