I think this topic has been discussed with other cards but probably not with the woollies card. I was wondering if anyone has loaded up their card beyond the credit limit to make a large payment. I've read the terms and conditions (part 12) relating to the limits but it doesn't seem all that clear cut so I just wanted to ask if anyone's had experience doing this?

I run with a $25,000 limit so if I have more than that to pay I just run up say $24,000 odd and then BPay it to zero and keep going during the month. No need to go massively into credit to draw attention to yourself is my thinking.

Thanks Cove, but my problem is that I have a $15K limit and I need to pay something for $80K. I really want to get the points but not sure if woollies is going to let me do it.

Can you pay the $80,000 over several weeks as you need to reload the card more than 5 times or you could ask for a higher limit.

Maybe, need to check with them first but it'd be much better if everything could be paid with one payment if possible.

After speaking with their customer service it seems that they do allow people to load up the card for large payments and this does happen quite often. The only thing is to call them up before hand so they don't block the cash coming onto the card and also don't block the subsequent payment.
