We have a long layover (approx 17 hrs) at HND as part of a QFF classic award to Europe. I understand that Japan is not allowing tourists to enter the country at present. Is there a hotel that is airside that we could book? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Transit hotel (Royal something) but I understand it it currently closed. Not sure when you are flying so if not for a while it may be open by then.

Thanks - I saw that hotel on the web and it was a little difficult to tell whether it was completely closed or only part of it. We are flying at the end of July

Yes, the transit hotel is currently closed.
There's another hotel coming online, too, but the opening has been delayed (open the respective hotel pages and paste the Japanese notification into a translator for their comments).
My plan is to take an ultra-light hiking mattress with me in case I need to camp out in the terminal overnight.
