New to site, so apologies if posting in the wrong place.

I am Gold QFF and am heading out economy from CGK-SIN-PER tomorrow and the flight is Garuda from CGK-SIN. All booked through Qantas. With Garuda not being oneworld aligned, do I have QF lounge access in CGK?

Does checked baggage go straight through to PER or do I have to pick it up in SIN? Final question, do I check in at Garuda or Qantas.

Doesn't matter if you booked through Qantas, if you flight isn't a OneWorld carrier, QF/JQ or EK operated flight, then you won't get lounge access.

If your first flight is with Garuda, you check-in with Garuda.

Generally if the flights are on the one booking then the bags will be tagged through to the final destination.

Thanks - I thought that would be the case, but was hopeful...appreciate the clarity on the checkin and baggage. Thanks

As The Insider already mentioned if the GA & QF flights are on the same ticket GA can through check your bag to PER but you'll need to get a boarding pass in SIN either from the transfer desk airside or in the QF lounge in SIN. You don't need to clear customs in SIN.

Shouldn't GA be able to print the QF boarding pass as well as its on the same ticket and they have interline agreement? even though it will be printed on GA stock?

Roger that - thanks!

The IATCI agreement (inter airline through checkin) for the issue of boarding passes is entirely different to an interline agreement for bags.

QF for example have an interline agreement for baggage with most major airlines (incl GA) when those flights are on the same ticket so luggage can be through checked.

IATCI agreements are a whole different animal and there is no such agreement with GA for the issue of boarding passes hence having to get the QF bpass in transit.

The same applies for the reverse itinerary eg SYD QF xSIN GA CGK where bags can be through checked to CGK but the GA boarding pass would be issued in SIN.

An IATCI agreement does not need flights to be on the same ticket eg if holding two separate tickets BNE QF SIN then SIN EK xDXB EK BCN all boarding passes should be issued in BNE.

Great to know - thanks!
