Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

We're flying out of Osaka Kansai airport tomorrow night on to Dubai with Emirates. We have J tickets, and also Qantas Pub/club membership. just wondering which lounges wifey and I have access to between our Emirates business tickets, and QP membership? Looks like Sakura and Pacific from what I've read. And which lounge is recommended?

Thanks!

As you're not flying Qantas, American Airlines or Jetstar, you will only have access to whatever lounge Emirates uses in Osaka.

Qantas Club membership only entitles you to access Qantas and American Airlines lounges (when flying oneworld) and Emirates lounges when flying Emirates.

In a few weeks am travelling through Miami on a LAN flight (in Y), and was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting children in? I am QF platinum, but my wife and two children are not. I don´t mind that lounge, have been there quite a few times, but this is first time am travelling through there with the family. I suspect that they will not be as family-friendly as Qantas in this regard? I can´t see any reference to kids etc on the site. (This is the ¨Premium Lounge in Concourse E, a joint lounge for AA, BA, and Iberia I think?)

I believe QP only provides for EK lounge access at DXB.

Since Aussie Doc is flying business there would still be a lounge provided at KIX.

You may have more luck at the D A/C's ... The E lounge is nicer but they may be stricter.

Advice for LAX lounging

Hoping to get some lounging advice...

I'm about to fly SYD-LAX-ORD return in J with my partner (we are both WPs) and 2 friends on QF/AA.

While in transit, will we be eligible for access into the LAX T4 AA flagship lounge with guests?

Also keen to know what everyone would recommend on the way back...flying into T4 from ORD, then on to TBIT to catch QF12 home. I know there's been a delay with the QF lounge etc, would it be best to stop off in the T4 lounge again before moving to TBIT and how long does this take?

Thanks in advance

I thought QP membership only allowed you into the lounge when flying QF or EK not any one world partner??

I stand corrected. I was of the impression that Qantas Club membership entitled use of any EK lounge prior to an EK flight but it seems that's not the case.

The only oneworld partner it allows lounge access to is AA and then only when prior to an AA flight (not any oneworld flight as my post may give the impression of).

Sure, you have access with two guests (one guest each).

Just redeposit your bags at the transit area, go outside, head upstairs to the departures roadway and walk the 150 yards to T4. The premium entry area is at the far East end of T4 these days.

How long is your transit on the way back - that would dictate how long I stay at T4 (I often have a pre Transpacific shower at the F/L there).

4 hour transit on the way back - enough time?

Lounge access in Singapore

I am arriving Singapore at 1600hrs on QF81 and then connecting to Malaysia Airlines flight the following morning at 0600hrs. Will be staying at the transit hotel in Singapore airport. Will I be able to access the Singapore Qantas lounge that evening after getting off the flight and before I check into the transit hotel?

No strictly by the rules you won't.

If you go by the following rules, as a platinum FF my next onward flight would be on a one world flight. It doesn't sat 'that day' like it says for gold FF...

Platinum Frequent Flyer
Next onward flight must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

Gold Frequent Flyer
Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

Thanks for the help guys, currently in the Sakura Lounge (JAL lounge, shared with emirates) at KIX/Osaka. It's very underwhelming compared to QP back home, only a few snacks (crackers or onigiri) and looks quite aged. But still somewhere to rest the weary feet :)

Will try the emirates business lounge in Dubai tomorrow.

If you can, please give it a shot and show the lounge staff the FAQ referred to in post one here.

Re: Lounge access in Singapore

I have a ~6hr stopover in DXB in late June, travelling MEL - DXB on QF9 and DXB - LHR QF8029/EK029 in Y on both legs.

I have a QF complimentary club pass and I know that one of the lounges in DXB is open to QF travelers in J and up so was curious as to know whether I could enter the lounge with the QF pass.

Thankyou

Are you travelling on 23 June?

You need to check the conditions of the pass but most say valid at Qantas lounges only, DXB has no Qantas lounges, just partner lounges which accept guests with non pass access.

Re: Lounge access in Singapore

Are you travelling on 23 June?
Depart MEL 26/6 @ 1915 on QF9
Arrive DXB 27/6 @ 0325
Depart DXB 27/6 @ 0925 on EK029

I would have much preferred to stay on QF9 the whole way with minimal stopover but when booking this was the cheapest option by ~$400 - doesn't really make sense to me as to why, but that was the case.

You're right, judging by the conditions of the pass I won't be able to enter the partner lounge in DXB. I wonder if EK does a similar 'complimentary pass' I may be able to get my hands on.
Thankyou for you reply!
