Just discovered this thread and it immediately provided an answer to a question I have had for a long time regarding flying F or J DOM in the US so thanks for that. I now realise that a Star Alliance Gold will get me access, even if not flying F or J. I missed out on access recently when flying UA MIA-SFO just because I did not ask!! Should have read AFF before I departed.
