Hello VFF!

I've booked a return MEL-SYD flights for this weekend, and will reach Silver status on gaining SC on the MEL-SYD leg.
Will I get access to the Sydney Velocity Lounge for SYD-MEL return flight the next day? Or, do I have to wait for Virgin
to update my stats first??
TIA

Welcome to AFF!

Silver Velocity members only receive two lounge passes, of which you can use whenever flying Virgin domestically however you will have to wait until the silver is reflected in your account which can take 24-28 hours.

I've had Status credits clear the morning after a flight, so you might get lucky and be able to use a pass the next day however it might not be the case.
Don't forget that Silver members get heavily discounted lounge memberships, if you don't think you'll reach gold and would want to keep using the lounge after your passes expire.

It may take a while unfortunately. Firstly the flight has to be credited which can take 1-3 days or more. Once you reach the threshold for silver your account will be reviewed, that doesn't normally take more than 12-24 hours which is when your lounge passes are credited too.

If you're 10SC's short from the threshold, it's not unusual for your status to be automatically upgraded to silver.
