No absolutely notI'm curious whether OP could head first to T3 with colleague, flash World Platinum card and QFi boarding pass and guest them in that way to the domestic business lounge? Then afterwards they can take the airside shuttle over to the international terminal.

Why not?No absolutely not
I may have misread but I presumed this was alluding to a way to get the guest over to the International terminal. Why not?
I suppose the question is whether the QF Domestic Business lounge would raise an eye brow to the traveller showing that INTL boarding pass. Supposing not then this could be a good "hack".I may have misread but I presumed this was alluding to a way to get the guest over to the International terminal.
There is of course no issue with guesting a non-flyer into the Domestic J lounge.
It was the question, but I wonder if OP would accept this as a consolation prize. Granted, it's not as nice as the QF F lounge but certainly a step above the Qantas Pub. I suppose the other question for the OP would be how the logistics would work for him to reach the INTL terminal. Does QF still operate transfer buses airside to take you to the international terminal from T3? If so, then after they are done meeting with their colleague they could simply hop on the bus to meet their "international connection. Another consideration too would be how much time OP should allow to make the transfer from T3 to International terminal to catch their flight. But it won’t get a meeting in the F lounge which was the question.
The shuttle drops you off before passport control. It doesn’t bypass anything vs entering the international terminal from the main entry.I'm curious whether OP could head first to T3 with colleague, flash World Platinum card and QFi boarding pass and guest them in that way to the domestic business lounge? I suppose my question would now be whether it saves any time versus exiting airside T3, then finding the inter-terminal bus and/or Sydney train to T1 International. I reckon it must but haven't timed it!The shuttle drops you off before passport control. It doesn’t bypass anything vs entering the international terminal from the main entry.
Train could be quicker if the airside buses aren’t frequent. Landside bus definitely slower.I suppose my question would now be whether it saves any time versus exiting airside T3, then finding the inter-terminal bus and/or Sydney train to T1 International. I reckon it must but haven't timed it!

Same here but (not to make matters complicated) I accessed the domestic lounge prior to the domestic sector of an international flight...You can indeed use the Dom J lounge prior to an international flight...I did just this earluer this when I had a NZ flight from MEL and I got to the airport very early,
You can indeed use the Dom J lounge prior to an international flight...I did just this earluer this yearwhen I had a NZ flight from MEL and I got to the airport very early, before checkin had opened. I was able to enter the Dom J lounge by showing my Plat card and ticket; I got some rather puzzled looks but they did let me in!
