I don't know whether I asked this before but...

I'm off to Delhi again in a couple of weeks going MEL-SIN-DEL. Got QF9 to SIN and JET (QF codeshare) from SIN.

My question is: I;ve got about 2 hours from when I land til the Jet flight departs, so i can easily go to the QP J lounge for an hour or so. Now that is in T1. Jet departs from T3.

Does anyone know how long it would take to get to T3. Or is there a lounge in T3 I can use? It's been 11 long years since I was in SIN last so I have no idea on the layout now!

Cheers,

Nick

I do not believe there are any Qantas, or even Oneworld, lounges in T3.

That would depend on the gate you arrive and depart at T3.

I landed in SIN on SQ and I had the closest gate to T1 and it took less than 5 minutes to get to the QF lounge in T1.

When I departed from T3 a few hours later it was the furthest possible gate from T1. If you want to take into consideration walking to SKytrain from QF Lounge, getting on and going as close as possible to furthest gates at T3 and walking the rest of the way it is around 15-20 minutes.

In my opinion even half an hour in the QF lounge is good enough as it gives you some exercise getting to and from T3.

I've got 2 hours from when I land til the next departure. So hopefully an hour in the lounge to freshen up would be worth it. Just have to see how far the walk/train will be.

If you are at the furthest gate in T3 from QF Lounge in T1 it should not be more than 15-20 minutes each way even waiting the 3 minutes (max) for the Skytrain. Probably even less if you pick up the walking pace a little.

Are you on the same flight as me on the 23rd?

Its very easy and quick to get to the QF J lounge using the airtrain between terminals.

I have flown SIN-BOM and BOM-SIN many times with Jet airways (QF codeshare) to T3.

From T3 Gate to T1 QF J lounge, no more than 10 mins to get there.

Are you on QF9 on the 23rd July?

Or are you thinking of my September post?

Yeah I was thinking about the September post (without interjection from people who have not read or understood the post), you hadn't decided on 22nd or 23rd IIRC

No problems at all, Jet usually use go from gate B6 in T3. About 5 or so travellators from Terminal 1 no need to even get skytrain to move between terminals as it is directly connected to T1 (you could use skytrain then you have to come back towards T1 one or two travellators, so hardly worth it if you have to wait for the skytrain). So 5-10mins from QF lounge depending on how fast you walk. In fact it's probably not any further than QF flights can be sometimes if they happen to be down the end of the C pier.

you are right. Hadn't decided on which date yet. If i get qf9 on the 22nd can you guest?

Anyone had any luck getting into the CX lounge (which is 24hrs) with a oneworld ticket but only a lowly QP/ PS member? I know it's not permitted according to the rules, just wondering if anyone had tried :)

I'll probably give it a go anyway, since I've got an overnighter there ... otherwise I'll grab some carpet somewhere for a nap :)

You never know but I think you will struggle without proper lounge access.

As a Platinum and travelling CX business class I was able to access the SIN Skyview Lounge at ~2:00am when there was no one in the lounge and the cleaners were out and about, I used the PC's for a while and it was well after 3:00am before anyone else used the lounge.

you might be lucky and an AFFer might be there close to the time.... when are you going?

Well about 4 weeks ago we did come in at the furthest gate in T3.It took us 25 minutes to get to QF flounge.I do have a d*cky knee so others should do it quicker.

Arriving august 7th 10pm, leaving 9am on the 8th. I've got requests in AFF and FT meeting threads :)

Seems that SIN is a nice place to spend some time, even without lounge access so I'll be right :)

We are leaving Sept 23

Because there's 4 of us travelling, 1 plat and 2 gold, we will be J lounging, so, I can easily guest you into the F lounge, have a couple of quick drinks and a chat, then bid farewell and head down to the J lounge and join back up with our group - up to you what you want.. :)

Head down towards the CX lounge, go upstairs by the TV room, there's nice recliners up there to rest on but better still, there's a Chinese foot massage ummm shop (for want of a better term).... ahhhh heaven!
