Lounge Pass

Hi Guys,

On my account I currently have 2x passes for the lounge from my silver membership (6month expiry) and 2x passes from my AMEX (12month expiry).

When I do go to use the lounge, is there anyway I can elect to use the silver membership passes first (given these will expire first)? Or will this happen automatically? Do you need to present just your velocity given that all passes are loaded on 'my benefits'?

Also with this - Ive only just made silver, will I be sent a new velocity membership card?

I just made silver in the last month too. Got my new card and luggage tag about a week later. I am a paid up member of the lounge courtesy of work and have the two passes that I am not likely to use. I just present the velocity card to get in. I'd just nominate which pass you want to use

When I used mine they used the ones with the closest expiry date, I just gave them my boarding pass and said I wanted to use a pass.

I've also had multiple passes on my account with different expiry dates and have a few times screenshotted my account prior to going for fear of the longer expiry ones being used. Alas there has never been a problem.

Quick obvious question, but if I am travelling with my +1, she can use one of these passes to gain entry to the lounge?

Yes, I've done that a few times with my other half.

Yes, she can. On the other issue, be sure to request the shorter expiry passes are used, as others have commented here on AFF that they've used the longer expiries first. Don't just assume logic will prevail!
