Hello all, just wanting to get some feedback on the lounge entry experience domestically.

I am a plat and my partner is a silver. She has 2x lounge passes that are about to expire. I have an upcoming business trip (party of 5 including myself), and am the only status holder. Thus including myself, only 4 can gain entry to the lounge. My partner is not travelling, however would I be able to use her card to gain entry for my 5th non-status traveller?

I suspect the answer is no, given my partner is not flying. However just thought I would ask and see if anyone had experience like this!

Cheers!

The silver member must be travelling to use the lounge pass.

You being Plat , you might get lucky if travelling at a quiet period and having a big smile and being nice to the lounge reception... however I would not be too confident. The other option is to buy access for $65

I got a 2nd guest into BNE yesterday, a smile and the fact it was pretty quiet certainly helped!

BNE...quiet??

That'd be unusual. A lounge angel told me last Sunday that BNE was showing access rates marginally better than both SYD and MEL and BNE has the renos at the moment. For my last two weekday flights, I haven't even bothered trying to gain access and just gone straight to the gate as the crowd made the lounge look anything but relaxing. Only bothered last Sunday as I thought it would be quiet....no such luck.

Here's a pic of last Sunday afternoon........There was genuinely hardly a spare seat available. On a Sunday arvo!!

Afraid not. The lounge passes are only good for actual VA lounges and you need to be a part of the travelling party. :(
