Sorry but a lounge visit is always on my itinerary!!!

How can you visit a lounge that is not part of your itinerary? Te only places I would think would be MEL and SYD DOM if you have VA Gold/Plat and are flying QF?

This question confuses me a little, why wouldn't you visit a lounge if your at the airport and you had access? Despite airports outside lounges getting better, they are still no match for how nice it is inside the lounge.

On the other hand why would you arrange a trip around which airport lounges you'd like to visit? Well I can think of a few good reasons (cough F-Lounge cough)

The question was meant as - why would you alter your itinerary to visit a lounge that wasn't part of your original plans....

(oh - I didn't pose the question - it came up - and AFF was clearly the obvious place to post it)

Especially as it came up at an AFF dinner . The questioner did have an ulterior agenda though

In fact I did go SYD-MEL-SIN earlier this year on a JASA because I hadn't been to the MEL F lounge

Obvious to me.... but I cannot explain it to Mrs Paddy in a way that doesn't provoke a rolling of the eyes
