I am flying to Singapore next month on business class for a reunion. But my plane will arrive 2-3 hours prior to my significant other.

Therefore instead of waiting around in the airport, I was wondering if Singapore airlines would provide me access to use the lounge while I wait? My flight to Singapore is only one way, as I am flying on to another place post Singapore.

The Singapore Lounges are Departure lounges and generally don't provide access.

There are paid lounge options which are not too expensive. Shower, Fitness & Spa Services - Changi Airport

Are you in transit to another SQ J flight? then you can access the lounge.

Are in in transit on any SQ or Silkair flight? You can use the Changi dollars to pay for the paid lounge access.

You can always ask at the Silkair lounge upon arrival and maybe get access but it is unlikely. It is quite obvious to the lounge staff as by that stage you have just the boarding pass stub and not the full boarding pass.

It would not hurt to ask.

But either way you should be able to pass away a couple of hours people watching. Such a nice airport to relax.
