I've searched everywhere and can't find out if my wife and I can use the Jetstar or a One World lounge at coughet airport prior to our upcoming coughet to Syd flight. Our tix are on QF264 X class.

also any tricks to get exit row (I'm 6'4") or even upgrade to business?

thanks so much

Welcome to AFF edt

Think your out of luck on the lounge front (at least without paying)

1. oneworld has no lounge at coughet (HKT). Air Berlin and Dragonair provide customers with access to Thais's Royal Orchid Lounge (per the oneworld website) - but this will only be for Business Class passengers on their own flights.
2. Even if oneworld had a lounge at HKT, Jetstar is not part of oneworld so your QF Platinum/ OW Emerald benefits wouldn't apply (you can only access Qantas lounges when flying Jetstar - basically Aussie domestic plus Singapore and HK)

If you had purchased a Jetstar Business Max fare lounge access is available per:
Lounges | Jetstar

Looks like this Lux lounge is a pay per use lounge, that also offers quick immigration services:
"Lux" The Luxury Lounge coughet International Airport
As is Coral coughet (another Priority Pass lounge)
The Coral Executive Lounge

On the upgrade to business.
Jetstar often has a purchase upgrade to business available if there are empty seats. Generally runs at the A$200-400 equivalent level. Suggest you get to the airport 3 hrs early and ask when you checkin.

For getting exit row - same thing - be early, be polite.

Welcome to AFF, edt. The only way to secure an exit row, is to pay. You can chance it at the airport and ask for one, but if they're sold, you'll be out of luck.

The only way to upgrade to Business is to use points (which in this case you can't as you're on a redemption) or pay to upgrade (once again, out of luck there too). So you'll be stuck in Economy, unless they opup you (you don't mention your FF tier, but if you're not Platinum, the chances of this happening are slim).

Even though you're on a QF code, you're flying Jetstar metal (QF264 is JQ28). You won't have any lounge access either unfortunately I don't believe. There is a Royal Orchid lounge for HKT, next to gate 4, but it only opens 2 hours prior to Dragon Air departures (no idea of their schedules there). You can always try your luck if it's open.

This is the problem when flying JQ under a QF code, you don't get any of the QF benefits on the ground unfortunately.

We pass through coughet and as a QF WP flying Jetstar (non-business max) you get nothing, zero, zippo.

We always end up paying for lounge access. As moa999 noted, these are the two options.

Looks like this Lux lounge is a pay per use lounge, that also offers quick immigration services:
"Lux" The Luxury Lounge coughet International Airport
As is Coral coughet (another Priority Pass lounge)
The Coral Executive Lounge
