What sort of deals are you most interested in? (hearing about cheap flights, flying premium cabins on points, frequent flyer perks, accommodation, credit card points earn, wine - everything...)

Well I've been trying to find in more about points, I've found accumulating points difficult as I don't use credit cards & when I do fly it's always domestic & the best prices have been with Jetstar (don't qualify for points with Qantas on the cheapest rates). I more so would like them for seat upgrades ect not flights as such. We are having our first international trip to Hawaii next year so I am interested in reading comments & advice on the check in process & travel in general. Thanks for asking

Credit card sign up bonuses are a quick way to get cheap points and you often don't have to actually use them much to gain the points then cancel, as you don't want this maybe you could look at one of the savings accounts that earn points or sign up the Woolies EDR card.

Using points to upgrade is one of the better ways to burn points - these upgrades are not guaranteed though and the frequent flyers with status get priority. Flying off peak days will increase your chances

Another welcome to AFF Tgkass
It's time to start using that credit card for everything you can and maximise your point earn.
Pay a little extra on Jetstar for a bundle and earn points.
Don't forget the Qantas toolbar for an easy 150 points per month.

Many ways to generate extra points for doing nothing but shopping and stuff like that.

Exactly! There's a lot of discussion about Woolies dumping QF (which I believe may be reversed shortly) but I think it's just a gimmick as I personally get far more points from sign-up bonuses and just using my credit card. In the last 8 months I've got 70,000 points through signup bonuses and quite a few more thousand on general spending. I've probably got less than 1000 points from shopping at Woolies almost every day (I don't plan my meals ahead...) of the year... I've got a few major flights booked this year and plan to swap over a few credit cards and use the sign-up bonuses for long-haul J upgrades.
