I had some plans to be in SIN next week for work, and wanted to stay at the IC as I only need 1 extra night to get Ambassador status.
Checking the website, the cheapest price was $460 SGD++ for a Club International room. Headed over to wotif.com, found a cheaper rate $394 SGD++ for a Deluxe room, so sent an email to the LIRG mailbox. Response was very quick indicating they would match after I made a booking, which I did, and the match came through with a 10% discount.
Unfortunately the customer I was due to see in SIN pushed my work back a week. I had resigned myself to the fact that I would lose this discount, so I went online and changed my booking to a Business Sense packge at $385 SGD++ a night for the following week.
Interestingly enough, it looks like they've applied the discount to my altered booking! Could be a once off, but it's interesting to note for future reference.
