Making Bookings not on Priority Club Website

I made a booking through Crowne Plaza Website which offers 5000 PCR point booking bonus, hence why I used it. Having not receievd the points I phoned PC and they believe that Crowne Plaza is a 3rd party website so they cannot honour the points? After some deiscussion they finally awarded me the stay points but I am shy 189 form Gold. If I could get the bonus points I would be Gold.

Anyone else have this difficulty previously
