As a previous yearly visitor to Malaysia, and having last visited in 2019 :( , we are booked on Sq to go on Good Friday. 😀
So a PCR test 2 days before travel and a RAT on arrival by a professional?
Not perfect but it’s a start. 2019 was our last visit too and it feels longer than that ☹️

A negative PCR within 48 hrs is required to enter Malaysia but can anyone with first hand experience confirm if a negative PCR is required for transits through KUL airport?
What I've read on official Malaysian sites is not explicit about that and QR says to fly DOH - KUL you need documentary proof of compliance with Malaysian Govt. requirements.

I am also booked to fly from Brisbane to KL via Singapore on SQ Saturday 2 April 2022 and was wondering if this advice is official government policy or just a news release -

Would love love love me a trip to Malaysia soon. Hard NO to PCR and Hard NO to Face Masks outdoors. Just booked Vietnam tonight for next SE Asia adventure as RAT to enter and no face mask rule outdoors. When Malaysia realise their folly I'll be there.

They have this thing called the VTL flights between SIN and KUL. Does your booking require yo to connect on a VTL flight or is that old news after 1st Apr?

Does your SIN to KUL flight have to be on a VTL flight?

My understanding is from 1Apr (not April Fools joke), Singapore only requires a pre-departure PCR or RAT test by professional within 2 days of departure.

No more on arrival testing.

I think that is an agreement between Singapore and Malaysia where no testing if fully vaccinated.

I believed the SIN/KUL VTL was restricted to Singaporian and Malay residents as well as a few others.

It will be moot in acouple of weeks in any case.
