We are heading for KL soon and will be joined there by friends from China. Malaysia now have a digital arrival card and because our friends are not very tech savvy I was planning on doing theirs for them. We arrive earlier and will wait landside at the airport for them.

I have previously done this for the Singapore digital arrival card without any problems.

Is the Malaysian one just linked to your passport? I plan to send a screen shot to them to keep on their phone.

Anyone have any experience of how the new card works? It doesn't seem to have an app just a website.

Linked to your passport. You don’t need to show anything and I did see one lady turned around at immigration and scolded for not having it done.
There are QR placed all around when you arrive if you leave it to the last minute but far better to do it beforehand on the website

It was pretty easy to lodge ours for our bus trip Singapore/Malacca last week
There are less fields to fill in than the Singapore one

However, as far as I can see, there has to be a new application for each person. I couldn't find any option to set up somebody as the 'travel group leader' like the Sin. App.

We went through the manual processing line and only the passport was requested.
