I took advantage of the BA F offer and booked a return to LHR for Feb 2012.

The BA manage my booking allowed me to include frequent flyer number and select my seats.

On the QF site I selected my seats for the connecting MEL-SYD return flights.

All was well until yesterday, in the QF manage my booking the travel class appeared as F and now it appears as J. The BA site still shows it as F, but the MyFlights app now shows the flights as J. (It is using the BA booking ref)

The booking class is A. Anyone know if something has changed with booking classes recently? :?:

I just don't want to have to fight QF for the extra SC's in Feb.

Not aware of any changes, is it a glitch due to there being no F MEL-SYD?
I have previously flown the BA one-way upgrades offers to F and always been awarded F SC

A class should be discount First - it's what AONEX's generally book into.

It does earn First Class SC's on QFF.

We've taken advantage of the same offer flying Dec/Jan.

Just checked QF MMB and the same change has occurred with all 5 of us. It states business but class A

Also checked BA MMB and it's still in as First class A :p

Interesting change - must have only happen in the last few days - we booked early Sept and it's always had First on QF.

As PF has pointed out it might be a glitch as we start & end our journey in BNE.

My proofreading prior to posting is not very good. I meant to write that the booking still shows as F on the BA manage my booking!!!!!

The connecting flights show up as Business (D)

Couldn't help myself - just rang QF WP hot line.

Although the guy I spoke with couldn't explain the class classification change due to it being a BA ticket - he did review the booking reference in the QF system and confirmed that the sectors in question were viewed by QF as First and therefore, would be allocated S/C accordingly :D

So should be happy days.......since I'll be travelling prior to you, I'll come back & report if it all goes pear shape

TonyHancock, I was reviewing my bookings & just noticed that the class is again showing (F) - not sure when it changed back but, it's nice to see it :)
