Master Card Prepaid Gift Cards

It seems you get the most by redeeming your reward points for Master Card prepaid gift cards (the same dollar value requires less points than department store gift cards).

It says in their website "use anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted". Is it the same as "use anywhere MasterCard is accepted"? Are there places that take MasterCard but not debit MasterCard?

Are there very limited places accept debit MasterCard? A gift card can't be used conveniently is no good.

Not so much limited, but there are places (such as Woolworths) that don't accept prepaid mastercards and debit cards.

Whose points are you redeeming? Occassionally redeeming through Velocity Rewards for store cards works out better, especially with the bonuses.
