On a totally unrelated note...
I need to improve my grasp of maths and statistics for some upcoming research projects, and am interested in the subjects anyway. Wanting to do a math diploma by distance ed..In Australia there are courses at Charles Sturt, New England and Central QLD universities. All of which seem pretty similar. As there don't seem to be any more appropriate forums on the internet I wondered if the diverse and knowledgeable people here might have something to add? Anyone done these?

I've done some business classes through Charles Sturt and found their system pretty good. Can't help you with the maths though ;)

I carried a calculator thought KTA the other day which set off alarms, I asked QF through FB site if the considered it a Weapon of Maths Instruction.

No answer on that point :-)
