I have seen other members mention you can keep a QF status for 23 months before being downgraded.

My current status is;

Current Status: Silver
Status reassessment will occur: 31 Jul 2010
Status credits earned from 01 Aug 2009: 510
Additional Status credits required by 31 Jul 2010 to attain Gold: 190

How would I go about maximizing my Gold status? When would be the time I should obtain the next 190 SC's?

I know it will be have to be before 31 July 2010.... :lol:

When you have flown enough to reach the 700 SCs you need , then you will become gold through to July 31 2011. The earlier you reach that mark , the longer it will last since the expiry date will be the same regardless

If you were to attain status at the v start of the membership year, then it would be almost 2 years. e.g. if you had attained 700 SCs on 10 August 2009 , then you would have attained gold then and it would still be lasting until July 31 2011

It's "up to [about] 23 months".

If you earn SG status before the end of your current "year", you keep until the end of your next "year".

So if you earn the 190 before 31st July 2010 you will granted gold status until 31st July 2011.

Do it before the and of April and you'll have it for at least 16 months. End of June, then 14 months.
