I had a QF J booking Mel-Lhr-Copenhagen-Osl-Lhr-Jhb-Syd-Mel booked some time ago. Circumstances changed and now the Copenhagen leg is out. Problem is now that there is a $2,000 saving due to new fares. Could this be easily done? No - three calls to WP line over the day and about 2 hours of mostly waiting it was all too hard.

Initial response - ticket will be extra $170. I state I can see it is $2,000 cheaper. Oh then you need to cancel and rebook.
2nd call - to confirm the first after reading conflicting information here. Confirmed - cancel, get a credit card refund and rebook.

So I take that advice and what happens. I get a voucher! So I make 3rd call to find out if my book now pay later can be offset against the voucher. No - the value of the new ticket much be greater than that of the voucher. I think I may struggle to offset my weekly Adelaide trip against at $12,200 voucher!!!!! I have been assured that the credit card refund will now take place but I admit I have lost a lot of faith today.

Maybe it's just me....
