booked to travel MEL - AKL - LAX for the first time on NZ. K,v class.

Does this give you a complimentary meal on the tasman legs both ways....or is it just simply like a 'Seat' fare with simply a hot cup of tea?

seeking people's experiences. Call centre didnt give a definitive answer.

Oz to USA book into "works" on the TT legs... you'll get whatever is on offer...

Further to this, any idea what T-T gives you when you're in PE from AKL-LAX?

Fare basis is AUS1Y, which is supposed to book into "B" for trans tasman. Reading this thread I'm guessing it should be at least Works?

I need to call them anyway as I can't access seat selection online so I might ask then :)

Air New Zealand long haul (ie NZ to Asia, USA and LHR) is still a traditional, inclusive-pricing, full service airline. So on the AKL-LAX leg will include complimentary meal services, IFE, blanket, pillow etc.

The PR version of NZ Y+ service (on the 77W) is here:
New Premium Economy - Long-Haul Experience - Air New Zealand - Australia Site

Looking for trip reports may give a better "real world" perspective on the product.
