A couple of years ago I recall that Medicabank Private wrote to us to say that they were introducing a surcharge on the monthly health insurance instalment when paid by c'card. The sums at the time made me switch to a direct debit from our bank account.
Last month while looking at there website I noticed that they no longer referred to a surcharge on credit card payments.
I switched the payment arrangement back to the credit card and now earn KrisFlyer miles on each monthly payment. That's about 3.600 miles per annum for a family with hospital and extras cover.
I'm still not excited about the extra miles when the rebate starts to cut out but I'll take them. Might make me feel healthier travelling.
