Meet a Moderator, Perth, 14 to 17th August

I have a 3 day trip to Perth planned for next week - flying over on Sunday 14th (QF 663 BNE/ADL, connecting to QF 599 arriving 9.50pm) and back on Wednesday 17th (QF 802 PER/MEL, connecting to QF632 MEL/BNE).

Again, I have one client meeting that I believe will need to be at night (friends from BNE who moved over to PER, she is a QF FA), so I am not sure whether they want to meet Monday or Tuesday yet. I have rung them both today and hope to hear from them tonight via email.

I have already looked at accom, I'll be at Hilton Sun night and HI Perth City Centre on Tuesday night. Still tossing up over Monday night - likely to be another night at Hilton, as this could have some bearing as to where we organise a dinner.

So, PER members, check your diaries and I'll let you know more as soon as I know.​

Without looking too closely at the times, I think I'm in the ADL QP (4.10pm ADL time to 7.45pm) when you are in PER QP. Sad, it would have been good to finally meet.

Okay, clients have confirmed Monday night suits them, so it's Tuesday night (16th) for drinks/dinner? I'll be at Leederville in the morning and then probably Booragoon in the afternoon, then dropping back the hire car to Hertz in the City. I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn City Centre that night (as you all know it's on Hay Street), so I am open to suggestions as to where - City, previous venue, another venue?

cove has already told me he's up for a drink/dinner, so at least I'll have somebody with whom to chat.

Alternatively if we head to somewhere like the Subi/Windsor (Sth Perth) or even The Royal (again) I'm happy to swing by and pick you up.

Only proviso for me is timewise a drink as I could be burning some midnight oil workwise.

Looks like we are all easy on where we drink. Booragoon has been confirmed at 1.30pm; may now try for another appt back on St Georges Terrace after I drop the car.

Our moderator generally wears a suit so by Perth standards he will be a standout in the crowd. Look for the suit first then look for a finely tuned athlete and you will have him.
On the other hand I am less of the above and I try to go to fatter doctors to avoid those overweight comments.
If we can get Missafternoondelight along you will be looking for the pictured lips in her profile so that will be an easy one too.

Everybody from last time (and non-attendees) have been invited by PM. Seems some don't check AFF much . Codash1099 has also replied unfortunately "no" and I just spoke to v8Statesman who confirmed "yes".

Still, cove, sjw11, JohnM, v8Statesman and I can discuss current topics over a beer. I'm happy to have the same venue at last time (The Royal in East Perth), so just need to thank sjw11 for his kind offer which is gratefully accepted. I will have dropped the car at Hertz CBD ~4pm and either had another appointment in the CBD, or gone straight to HI City Centre to check in, drops my bags, do some work and freshen up. We just need to confirm what time you are able to swing past HI City Centre to pick me up (or if you want me to walk somewhere better from a traffic/pickup viewpoint)?
