Following on from my last MaM thread, I am returning to Perth because my clients are being very good over there.

I am flying over on Sunday, 15th - on QF625 the 2.55pm BNE/MEL, connecting to QF481 at 6.45pm MEL/PER arriving 8.50pm (courtesy of a JASA).

Booked at the IC Burswood for Sunday night, then HI Burswood for Monday night (both on Priority Privilege rates, 25% off, many thanks to markis10 for reminding me). Needed to be both @ Burswood for any number of good reasons:
1. I need an IC stay towards my Crack the Case brands
2. Both were 25% off, saving about $130 on rates
3. I can check out of IC, walk to 300m to HI and check-in on Monday morning

Drinks @ 9.30pm at Burswood (Casino, IC or HI) anyone?

Was invited to dinner by good friends who have recently moved over there (she's the QF CSA), so whether I get dinner on Monday will depend on her schedules. If they can't see me, them Monday is on as well.

Flying back on Tuesday 17th, QF594, the 4.45pm PER/BNE; so alas no chance for drinks that night (I'll have one or two on the plane though).

Thanks to cove and missafternoondelight for reminding me to post :D

Yay!
If Monday ends up happening, I'll be there for sure, but Sunday will be stuck in Kalgoorlie for work. Think of me at drinks; no doubt I'll be doing the same thing in a Kal pub!
Nice of you organise another hook up, Lindsay :)

Ah, you've got around to creating a dedicated thread for this...

Sunday's out for me as well I'm affraid. Hit me up if Monday goes ahead.

Only a pity that the JASA gods didn't allow me to get over there when I wanted (early evening), but they wanted my first born child with my points :o

We'll have to toast you then. Presume that with a $50 F&B voucher that I'll be the popular shouter at the bar! Now if that doesn't bring them in, nothing will

Twice in such a short time is amazing.
When we watched the JASA points we thought that would stop you dead in your plan. Well done, you have displayed tenacity to get your bookings!
Then we have super low vacancies in Perth hotels right now and even that did not put you off.
Monday night seems to work best from the early replies and there is plenty of parking at the Burswood precinct that will not produce a parking ticket.
My sons tell me there are plenty of spots there that are quiet enough to actually talk.

Perhaps if I can arrange a later dinner with them, we can arrange a meet up beforehand - but I'll be in the CBD and they are in East Perth, so does that work?

Haven't heard back from them yet, but it has only been less than 24 hours.

I'm a possible for either Sunday or Monday evening.

PC have double points promo starting 16 MAY 2011 thru 15 AUG 2011, received on email this morning, so you can at least double up some more on the IC stay.

Code is 8069, received via PC email.

thewinchester, yes I've been signed up since 24 April and as I knew about the timing of this trip, was hoping that I could get 2 PC stays (one an IC) to meet both CtC and get a 1 nighter as the "ineligible" stay for double points.

Not sure on whether my IC stay will meet the first stay criteria, as I'm in on the 15th, out on the 16th. Either way, my HI stay (In 16th, Out 17th) will certainly meet the criteria (or be my first stay to qualify for double points).

The beauty of getting rid of that ineligible stay as a single night, is that I already have booked another 14 stays (for a total of 38 nights) during May/Jun/July (3 are award stays), so I have had very fortunate timing on this promo. Will help me bring my points balance back from almost nothing.

Still waiting on confirmation from my clients about the dinner with them Monday night...she hasn't got her flying details for Monday 16th yet (she's casual, one of only 9 in PER)

I see you are bringing some rain again!
Enjoy that hard fought JASA flight over to PER.

Still haven't got clarificationon Mon night dinner - I think it's time to ring and put the hard word on them.

Late Sun drinks are on, I'll put down my voucher on whichever night we have our get together.

I'll keep an eye out to see if anything is happening Monday.. would need to be after 7:30pm for me anyway, as QF1064 doesn't get in till 18:40. Otherwise, have a great time guys, and don't forget to post a pic! :p

Monday night dinner has been confirmed at 6pm. Don't know how long I'll be, but I'll post when I am leaving there in case some can still make a drink.

Arrived in Perth and in a taxi to the IC. Doesn't look like a big turn out for tonight.

With dinner beginning at 6pm tomorrow, perhaps I can get back to the HI (where I'm booked in tomorrow) by ~ 8.30pm.

Hard to organise when I'm not in control of timing.

If you can put a name to the drinks place at HI we can see you Monday night about 8.30pm.
Maybe we can win a bit over the road but I cannot remember whether we need to go Red or Black.

Cove, you are a classic. Will let you know tomorrow about the name of the bar. Off to bed now

Ah, that's a pity stevePER. Nothing like last minute change of plans.

I have a hire car now (change of plans ;)), so more mobile and be quicker for me to get back to the hotel tonight. I have a $50 voucher that I am going to use for drinks tonight (for anyone that can show) and for breakfast tomorrow.

I'll message when I am leaving East Perth tonight - shouldn't be late, it's a school night and my friend the FA will probably be on early flights tomorrow.
