MEL 380 Demise Wake [Saturday March 9]

We are long overdue for some prime steak, many fine wines and even more tall tales - and what better way to do this than as we are crying over the production demise of the 380 at a gathering at Olive Tree. We just need to choose a date:

I'm off to the USA leaving Melbourne evening of the 8th.

Arriving back via HKG early am 18th.

FWIW 9-10-11 is Labour day weekend.

March 19 is a possible date I have kept free.

Mid-week is quite hard at the moment due to frequent work travel during the week.

YEP I know it is hard trying to round the herd up but what else can we do bar check which date has most positives and then actually go with that? I am sorry but trying to satisfy all impossible.

Well that makes it easier - I want to set in stone Saturday March 9 as the date for this soirée - 19:30 at Olive Tree - normal attendance criteria applies:
1. No Hawks supporters
2. BYO Red Wine - (minimum standard set by Hughesy last shindig)
3. No QF WPs unless said QF WP has posted at least 2 ‘fake news’ threads about how good QF F is in last 12 mths
4. As per standard AFF DTKWIAs policy no screaming babies or kids (Lucky you just sneak in huh BC)
5. Attendees arriving post 19:45 get to pick up entire bill for evening
6. Attendance confirmation by 8pm Thursday March 7.

Sorry a bit unrelated, but is that EK A380 that was sitting on the edge of MEL airport towards the end of last year still there... I'm based in SYD but was just surprised to see it still there after two trips transiting through MEL. Wonder if anyone else noticed it.

Yes, been there for quite a while, don't know why.
CE, like Boomy, if I'm in Melbourne, it'll more likely to be during Mon-Wed. Have a great gathering.

If you look closely the tail number changes every day.

By the same token QF has planes parked at LHR, LAX and HND most of the day
