MEL - Every Wednesday (standing dinner)

Hi All,

I thought I would extend an invitation to a weekly dinner in MEL I hold. Every Wednesday night from about 6pm (sometimes 7) I get together with 5-10 friends at The British Crown on Smith Street, Collingwood (about $10 cab from Flinders Station, or tram 86/109/112).

Great environment, $5- pints and $3- pizzas all night.

Feel free to message me if your suck in MEL with nowhere to eat. We are always here.

Litterally every Wednesday without fail. I love the venue. It's like a good dive bar (plus I live next door haha) and i can't say no to $5- Pints or $3- Pizzas.

I didn't know quite what an institution we had become until a waiter at a different restaurant we were trying recognised us as "oh you're that Wednesday night bocadillos crew! "
We got treated very well after that!

The actual dinner with a group has been going only about 6 months, moved to the area about 18mths ago and I have been going there since then. Have been through countless staff/managers etc etc. They reserve our table, give us our table number, give us table service, and we skip the queue when its busy... Its all the perks of WP but at a pub!

Last night was fantastic too (though am paying for it this morning) and my tab came to only something like $35-

Just replied - Itll just be me and a few friends who dont care for travel tonight, but all are still welcome to join - hopefully change the conversation around haha. My FF mate Dan that usually comes is unfortunately on a QF flight from BNE all the way back in row 27 thanks to his nothing status and wont be able to join.
