Hi all,
MEL to Buenos Aires...
Flying J and maybe better on One World as I would be halfway to WP before this trip.
How would you do this to maximise status credits? I take it this isn't a Pacific Circle anymore?
Since F lounges aren't really that important to me are there better options than QF?
thanks!

Do you want to maximise your SCs, or just get there and back relatively cheaply, adding incremental SCs?

If the former, a Circle Pacific routing via LAX then on AA or LA to SCL (AA you may be able to go LAX-DFW-SCL) and then LAN to EZE or other destination in Argentina. Coming home you'd max by using LAN and going via AKL.

If wanting simple, but add a few SCs, again LAN via AKL and SCL would be the simplest. And is usually cheaper than QF direct (because most want to

The LAN hard product on AKL-SCL vs QF SYD-EZE is not dissimilar, but the soft product (food, IFE etc) is better on QF. But not by a massive amount.

QF is selling a three class service SYD-EZE but it is a four class aircraft. Not sure where you sit as an SG, but you might get an F seat with J service.

I'm traveling MEL-SYD-EZE-GRU in August in J. (The last leg is a LAN codeshare with Tam Linhas Aereas)

I have done EZE before with QF/LAN - MEL-AKL-SCL-EZE.

It is a long journey, and, whilst I'm keen to pick up SC's to try for the new Platinum One status, my preference is to get there as directly as possible.

I guess if you want to maximise SC's then a trip via the US is probably the way to go.
