Hi,

I'm looking for an award flight for my wife:

MEL - FRA (if necessary ex SYD and into MUC or anything else in south Germany) on Oct 10/11/12 or 13
Return on 18/19/20 October

I've got 360k Qantas FF points to spend. The cabin class should be J, but may also be F (or Y+ for the short segments).

many thanks for your help!

EDIT: I just found Cathay Pacific flights outbound but nothing for the return flight. Should I book those and hope that something comes up? Worst case I'd have to pay for a one way ticket for the return flight. What are the chances that more seats become available until October?

There's a good chance more seats will come available - CX are good for late releases as are Emirates. Could book a flexi Y fare on SQ, these are refundable (and one of the cheaper refundable fares).

The other option is to book a non-optimal points ticket - e.g. 21 Oct, First class FRA-HKG, then Economy HKG-MEL - with a full day stopover in Hong Kong - for 144000 points.
