looking at travel October 2019 for 2 weeks (roughly) with the family x 4 (wife, me and two kids under 12)
sitting on a balance of over 600K of velocity points and gold status and keen to get something looked away before the end of the year considering the krisflyer devaluation coming in jan.

thoughts?

Are you looking for J or Y seats. Also are you looking to pay for some and redemptions for others.

A quick look at the SQ website is that you would need 336K miles + around AUD500 for Y seating connecting via SIN. Many of the flight are already waitlist. I just picked a couple of random dates in Oct 19.

The Rugby World Cup is in Japan from end of September to early November, may have something to do with flights being wait listed already?

have had to re look at dates and now travel early sept (flexable dates nut total trip approx 2 weeks), trouble is cant see a way when redeeming via SQ how i would fly into tokyo but out of osaka. help!

You have a couple of options either ring SQ and ask them for assistance. Option 2 book a one-way flight MEL-NRT then another flight KIX-MEL. I have not used SQ for reward flights for a little while and from memory I could not get multi-city for rewards bookings.

In Sep 19 there is availability for 4 MEL-NRT and KIX-MEL.

going through a dummy booking couldnt see how to make a multiple city booking and was also looking to take advance of a 2-3 day stop over in singapore. will get on the phone this week.
